This is a remnant of old solutions offered to employees in the construction, railway, energy and railway industries. A storage room or a barrack served employees during work as a shelter, a place to eat meals, and very often they were simply an ordinary apartment, especially in areas far from urban centers. They used different materials, there was more wood, different internal and external finishes, on a weaker wooden frame, which is why they were destroyed more quickly. Roofing felt was most often used on the roof instead of more durable galvanized sheet metal.

Frame of a residential container

The base of the container is its frame, which consists of a welded floor frame, a flat roof and columns located in the corners of the container. In the corner columns there is a downpipe, which collects water through holes located in the corners of the container.

Roof of a residential container

The roof is made of galvanized sheet metal installed on the roof of the container, under the sheet metal there is chipboard, mineral wool and a vapour barrier foil. From the inside, the ceiling is finished with a laminated board.

External walls of a residential container

The external wall is made of a wooden frame on which a varnished sheet metal is mounted protecting the container from the outside, most often trapezoidal, the space under it is filled with mineral wool insulation, vapour barrier foil, and from the inside a laminated board, which is located on all walls, gives the interior of the container a clean and aesthetic appearance.

Floor of a residential container

The floor from the outside is protected with a durable galvanized trapezoidal sheet metal, on it is stretched mineral wool, then vapour barrier foil, floor plate, and on everything a high-quality PVC floor covering is laid. The connection of the floor with the walls is finished with skirting boards.
